STORY
I am delighted to introduce myself as the founder of YUZU & SPACE, a Montessori-inspired Play & Learning Center nestled in Las Vegas. Originally from Japan, I embarked on a journey to this diverse region in 2019 as a single mother. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and a TESOL certificate, my professional journey commenced as a dedicated educator in preschool and lower-level elementary settings.
Throughout my career, I've been captivated by the joy of nurturing young minds and fostering their development. This passion led me to the enriching world of Montessori education, where I discovered a profound alignment with its principles of respect, independence, and holistic growth. My son, Ezra, also embarked on this educational journey at the tender age of two, attending a Montessori school alongside my own professional pursuits.
Over time, I obtained Montessori certification for ages 3 to 6, deepening my commitment to this transformative approach to education. Together, Ezra and I have witnessed firsthand the remarkable impact of Montessori philosophy, enriching not only our educational experiences but also our perspectives on nature, community, and empathy.
With a heart for fostering inclusive communities and a passion for nurturing curiosity, YUZU & SPACE emerges as a haven where individuals come together to explore, learn, and connect.
